Dermatology Clinical Resource Center

Dermatology calculators, topical-therapy references, inflammatory skin disease resources, skin and soft-tissue infection guidance, wound and burn material, skin-cancer prevention, current GlobalRPh dermatology articles, and selected clinical guideline links in one organized portal.

Primary audience: physicians, pharmacists, nurses, advanced practice clinicians and other healthcare professionals involved in dermatologic diagnosis, pharmacotherapy and longitudinal skin care.

Clinical framework

Dermatologic assessment requires integration of cutaneous and systemic findings

Dermatologic evaluation requires characterization of morphology, distribution, chronicity, symptoms, medication exposure, immune status, infection risk, systemic disease, skin type, anatomic site, age, pregnancy potential, comorbidities and prior treatment. These factors materially influence the differential diagnosis, diagnostic workup and therapeutic plan.

We organize our topical-drug references, corticosteroid-potency tool, inflammatory skin-disease resources, infectious-disease material, wound and burn content, skin-cancer reviews and current discussions of biologic therapy, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, the microbiome, skin of color, teledermatology, nail disorders and diagnostic technology within a single clinician-focused portal.

  • Skin cancer & actinic damage
  • Hair, nails & systemic clues

Topical & dermatologic pharmacotherapy

Our dermatologic pharmacotherapy reference library

We retain our established dermatology drug tables and have reorganized them by clinical function to support more efficient navigation across inflammatory disease, anti-infective therapy, actinic damage, burns and other topical treatment categories.

We developed several of these drug tables over many years. We retain them as established reference libraries while progressively reviewing product availability, labeling, guideline alignment and contemporary therapeutic positioning. Resources prioritized for modernization are identified below.

Inflammatory dermatology

Atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea and immune-mediated skin disease

Skin & soft-tissue infection

Dermatologic infectious-disease resources

The original portal already linked several GlobalRPh infectious-disease pages. They are preserved here and separated from chronic inflammatory disease so users can move directly to infection-focused material.

Wounds, burns & barrier integrity

Skin injury and wound-healing content across GlobalRPh

Skin cancer, actinic damage & prevention

Prevention, lesion assessment and treatment references

Screening, diagnosis and management are different clinical questions. Suspicious, changing, symptomatic or clinically atypical lesions require clinician evaluation rather than reliance on a consumer application, image classifier or general risk article.

Current and established dermatology reviews

Our earlier Dermatology portal emphasized articles from 2023-2024. We now surface a broader selection of 2025-2026 reviews while retaining established articles that remain relevant to clinical interpretation and historical continuity.

Dermatology video resources

Our earlier Dermatology portal did not surface available video content. We now include relevant dermatology videos from the GlobalRPh video library within the specialty portal.

Current external clinical standards

American Academy of Dermatology guideline resources

Dermatologic pharmacotherapy evolves rapidly. We provide direct access to current AAD guideline resources while progressively reviewing and modernizing our established dermatology drug tables.

AAD Clinical Guidelines Hub Central guideline library covering acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, actinic keratosis, skin cancer and dermatologic surgery. Open AAD guideline library
Acne Vulgaris Guideline Current evidence-based AAD acne recommendations. Open acne guideline
Atopic Dermatitis Guidelines Current AAD guideline series for adult and pediatric atopic dermatitis. Open atopic dermatitis guidance
Psoriasis Guidelines AAD/NPF resources covering topical, systemic and biologic management plus comorbidity assessment. Open psoriasis guidance
Melanoma Guideline AAD clinical guidance for melanoma diagnosis and management. Open melanoma guideline
Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer AAD guideline pages for basal cell and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Open basal cell carcinoma guidance

Clinical content modernization

Established Dermatology resources prioritized for contemporary review

We retain these established resources for continuity and longstanding internal links. We have prioritized selected pages for focused evidence, product-status, labeling and guideline review before presenting them as fully contemporary therapeutic summaries.

Priority resource reviews

  • Topical Corticosteroid Potency Selector: we retain the tool because its clinical structure remains useful, while prioritizing an update of the older background references, potency tables, formulation considerations, quantity guidance, site-specific safety and pediatric use.
  • Acne – Topical Agents: we plan to revise older product information and historical isotretinoin monitoring language in accordance with contemporary acne guidance, antimicrobial stewardship principles, combination therapy and current FDA iPLEDGE requirements.
  • Atopic Dermatitis: our current page reflects only part of the contemporary treatment landscape. We plan to expand it to incorporate current topical, systemic and biologic options with updated monitoring and guideline context.
  • Psoriasis: our established table includes historical agents alongside newer biologics. We plan to reorganize it around current topical therapies, oral agents, biologic classes, treatment targets and comorbidity assessment.
  • Actinic Keratosis: we plan to review the treatment inventory for current product status, contemporary guideline alignment and therapeutic positioning.
  • Topical Corticosteroids Drug Table: we retain this extensive reference while working to distinguish current products, practical prescribing principles and historical monograph material more clearly.
  • Topical Antibacterials / Antifungals / Antivirals / Antiparasitics: we plan to verify current availability, indications, resistance considerations, labeling and preferred clinical roles.
  • Topical Burns: we plan to modernize wound-care context, burn-depth terminology, infection prevention, dressing strategy and current product evidence.
  • Dermatologic Infections / Cellulitis / Bites: we plan to align treatment recommendations and resistance considerations with contemporary infectious-disease guidance.
Isotretinoin remains subject to the FDA iPLEDGE REMS. When we rebuild our acne resource, we will replace historical program language with current REMS requirements and current approved labeling rather than layering new requirements onto an older monograph framework.
