| Ciprofloxacin 500mg orally twice daily for 10-14 |
| Bactrim DS orally twice daily for 10-14 days. |
Resistant Species
|
Ertapenem 1 gm IV qd for 10-14 days
OR |
[Ceftriaxone 1-2g IV q 12-24 h or Cefotaxime 1-2g q 6-8h] +
Gentamicin ivpb until can tolerate oral regimen and afebrile for 48h; then oral regimen x 28 days |
