Framingham 10-year
risk percentage
This calculator provides estimates of the 10-year Risk of
developing "hard" coronary heart disease outcomes (myocardial
infarction and coronary death).
The results are based on data provided by the National,
heart, lung and blood institute using information gathered
from the Framingham Heart Study. This tool is designed to
estimate risk in adults aged 20 and older who do not have
heart disease or diabetes. All of the underlying tables that
this program is based on can be found in this document:
"Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood
Cholesterol in Adults (Adult Treatment Panel III)" located on
the NHLBI web site.
Note: check out the ATP
III calculator on this site as well. |
