GlobalRPh RX List - VIVITROL
- Product / population
- Naltrexone - VIVITROL extended-release injection; selected source sections, not a full prescribing monograph.
- Renal measure
- Creatinine clearance (CrCl), mL/min; equation not established in the selected dosing passage.
RX mirror: this is not independent corroboration of its underlying label. Check dated-label and formulation limitations.
Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits
Mild renal insufficiency, CrCl 50-80 mL/min, did not change pharmacokinetics and needs no adjustment. Moderate and severe impairment have not been evaluated; use caution because naltrexone and its main metabolite are primarily excreted in urine. A smaller injection amount or altered interval is not established by this passage. The depot product must not inherit CONTRAVE's oral combination-tablet renal ceiling.
