About April Wine
April Wine began in Nova Scotia in late 1969 with Myles Goodwyn and members of the Henman family. The group moved from Halifax to Montreal in 1970 and recorded for Aquarius, with Goodwyn becoming a central songwriter. Its catalog balances direct rock songs with ballads: Roller and I Like to Rock preceded Just Between You and Me. That ballad appeared on The Nature of the Beast, released in January 1981 as the band's international audience expanded.
