ARTIST BACKGROUND

About April Wine

April Wine began in Nova Scotia in late 1969 with Myles Goodwyn and members of the Henman family. The group moved from Halifax to Montreal in 1970 and recorded for Aquarius, with Goodwyn becoming a central songwriter. Its catalog balances direct rock songs with ballads: Roller and I Like to Rock preceded Just Between You and Me. That ballad appeared on The Nature of the Beast, released in January 1981 as the band's international audience expanded.

About this artist collection

April Wine is the credited band. Myles Goodwyn solo and blues recordings remain separate. Earlier singles are identified explicitly when their release predates the album usually associated with the song. Eligibility is the confirmed retained screenshot credit; this is an optional collection outside the fixed annual priority roster.

First released means the earliest documented official public release of the selected recording. A year-only date does not assert a month or day. Later singles, chart years, compilations, remasters and reissues do not replace that date.
