Annual version match under review

The selected recording has release evidence, but its version has not been matched to the retained annual entry. It is omitted from Beyond the yearly lists until this match is resolved.

The original album and licensed program name the complete two-part track. The actual retained annual title names only Hard to Say I'm Sorry and does not establish whether Get Away is included. The reviewed shortened-title alias preserves that real candidate provisionally.

ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Chicago

Chicago formed in its namesake city in 1967 with the aim of combining a rock rhythm section and a prominent horn section. The musicians brought backgrounds in jazz, R&B and other styles to that approach. Their first album, Chicago Transit Authority, appeared in 1969, featuring several songwriters and singers within the same ensemble. Long arrangements and instrumental passages were part of its early identity, alongside more compact songs that could reach radio audiences.
