Eminem featuring Nate Dogg | Artist Essentials

Original 2005 explicit full studio recording

Release evidence and recording details

First released: 2005 (year verified)

This is a new 2005 recording from the original Curtain Call release period, not an older hit assigned the anthology date. The official discography identifies new material on that release, and the original track metadata supports 2005 before the 2006 annual appearance.

Curtain Call: The Hits - original licensed program
Original 2005 release program, full selected recording titles and guest credits were actually read. Earlier single fields in the same year are retained at year precision. Only original program recordings are selected; this package does not date later remasters, live bonuses or previously unreleased anniversary material. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

Curtain Call: The Hits - licensed track and edition metadata
The public distributor feed was actually retrieved and all track credits and explicit/cleaned flags read. Confirms the selected explicit original-program edition and credited collaborators; edition flags are not used to invent different release years. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

Eminem - official original-release discography
Artist archive explicitly dates the original 1999-2020 albums and identifies new tracks on the first Curtain Call. Cross-checked with original licensed programs. The erroneous 2009 date printed under Curtain Call 2 is not used; that anthology supplies no first-release dates here. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

Annual version match under review

The selected recording has release evidence, but its version has not been matched to the retained annual entry. It is omitted from Beyond the yearly lists until this match is resolved.

The actual retained annual candidate has no edition metadata. The selected original program is explicitly licensed as explicit, while a documented cleaned/edited presentation also exists. The annual candidate is retained provisionally; neither equivalence nor a different performance is inferred from title or duration.

Curtain Call - documented cleaned and radio presentations
The licensed feed explicitly identifies a cleaned edition and its tracks, including the named Edited Version of Lose Yourself and Radio Version of Guilty Conscience. Used only for actual retained candidate edition uncertainty, never as the originals' release date. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

Curtain Call - alternate edited program
The full alternate program was read alongside the explicit edition. Named edited and radio presentations remain separate, and its January 1 package field is not an exact date. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Eminem

Eminem emerged from Detroit's rap scene with a rapid delivery, densely constructed rhymes and the provocative alter ego Slim Shady. The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP brought that character into songs that mixed dark humor with personal and social conflict. Stan used a fictional fan's correspondence as narrative, while Lose Yourself connected his music with the film 8 Mile. Later recordings, including Recovery, continued his exploration of personal struggle through sharply articulated, often confrontational performances.
