Annual version match under review

The selected recording has release evidence, but its version has not been matched to the retained annual entry. It is omitted from Beyond the yearly lists until this match is resolved.

Selects the original full The Wall album edition. The official catalog documents its 1979 album appearance and a later 1980 single, while the retained annual entry supplies no edition identification. Retain the actual annual candidate provisionally until its album/single scope is reviewed; the release year itself is verified.

ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd developed from Syd Barrett's psychedelic singles into extended studio pieces and albums built around connected themes. Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason shaped the later catalog, which explored social pressures as well as personal experience. The Dark Side of the Moon appeared in 1973, followed by Wish You Were Here in 1975 and The Wall in 1979. The group's official discography also separates later studio albums, live performances and remixes from those original recordings.
