Duran Duran - The Reflex remix and The Wild Boys studio single
The artist chronology places the released Reflex single in 1984 and identifies The Wild Boys as a Nile Rodgers-produced studio recording made for the otherwise live Arena project, followed by its 1984 single. The live B-side and concert album performances are explicitly separate. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

Duran Duran - original first five album years and programs
The official artist announcement identifies the original 1981, 1982, 1983, 1986 and 1988 albums and reproduces their original track programs. It also distinguishes the Nile Rodgers reworking of The Reflex and his production of The Wild Boys. The current reissue year and promotional claims of historical firsts are not used as recording evidence. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

The Reflex - original album and revised single presentations
The licensed program distinguishes the shorter Single Version from the longer original album presentation. Its inherited 1983 date on the revised single is not accepted: the official artist 1984 timeline establishes the selected Nile Rodgers single year. | Reviewed 2026-10-18

Annual version match under review

The selected recording has release evidence, but its version has not been matched to the retained annual entry. It is omitted from Beyond the yearly lists until this match is resolved.

The collection selects the documented 1984 Nile Rodgers revised single. The retained 1984 title does not explicitly distinguish that remix from the 1983 original album presentation. The real retained candidate stays provisional and is excluded from Beyond until that presentation is resolved.
