ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men joined Philadelphia vocal traditions with Motown and the rhythm of contemporary R&B. Nathan Morris, Michael McCary, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris formed the quartet introduced through Cooleyhighharmony. Their repertoire moved between rhythmic songs such as Motownphilly and layered ballads including End of the Road. The album II continued that emphasis on harmony with I'll Make Love to You and On Bended Knee.

About this artist collection

The original quartet and later trio belong to the retained group identity; member solo careers remain separate. One Sweet Day keeps the complete Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men credit and the same original studio identity used in the preserved Mariah collection. Charlie Wilson retains his explicit guest credit.

First released means the earliest documented official public release of the selected recording. A year-only date does not assert a month or day. Later singles, chart years, compilations, remasters and reissues do not replace that date.
