ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake is a Tennessee singer and performer whose solo recording career followed his work in NSYNC. Justified pairs his falsetto with rhythm-focused productions by the Neptunes and Timbaland. FutureSex/LoveSounds and The 20/20 Experience extend that approach through medleys, layered vocals and long instrumental passages. Man of the Woods adds band and country-soul colors, while Everything I Thought It Was returns to a broad pop and R&B setting. His group recordings retain their separate identity.

About this artist collection

The existing solo ID is retained and is not an alias for NSYNC. Clipse, Timbaland, T.I., Jay-Z and Chris Stapleton keep their original recording roles. The existing Like I Love You annual shorthand is mapped only after reviewing Jive's explicit Clipse rap credit.

First released means the earliest documented official public release of the selected recording. A year-only date does not assert a month or day. Later singles, chart years, compilations, remasters and reissues do not replace that date.
