Twenty-five original duo recordings connect the Cadence singles, Warner album discoveries, the country repertoire of Roots and the 1984 reunion-era studio work.

The MusicAtlas editorial sequence favors a compact path through original hits and deeper album performances from 1957-1984. It is not a chart ranking, a copied third-party playlist or a complete discography; unresolved original-release and version candidates remain in the research queue.

ARTIST BACKGROUND

About The Everly Brothers

Don and Phil Everly grew up singing with their family on radio before becoming a duo. Their recordings joined country roots with rock and roll, with Don usually carrying the melody and Phil singing the higher harmony. Early Cadence singles led to a move to Warner in 1960, where their repertoire expanded across pop, rock and country material. The 1968 album Roots revisited music from their upbringing. After a period apart, their reunion led to EB 84, including the Paul McCartney song On the Wings of a Nightingale.

About this artist collection

The Everly Brothers are the duo Don and Phil Everly. This collection excludes their separate solo recordings, later concert takes and tribute acts. Original Cadence performances remain distinct from Warner rerecordings; the original 1960 Love Hurts and 1968 Roots studio tracks are explicitly scoped.

First released means the earliest documented official public release of the selected recording. A year-only date does not assert a month or day. Later singles, chart years, compilations, remasters and reissues do not replace that date.
