About The Everly Brothers
Don and Phil Everly grew up singing with their family on radio before becoming a duo. Their recordings joined country roots with rock and roll, with Don usually carrying the melody and Phil singing the higher harmony. Early Cadence singles led to a move to Warner in 1960, where their repertoire expanded across pop, rock and country material. The 1968 album Roots revisited music from their upbringing. After a period apart, their reunion led to EB 84, including the Paul McCartney song On the Wings of a Nightingale.
