BYETTA immediate-release injection; not an extended-release exenatide regimen.
Renal measure
Estimated creatinine clearance (CrCl), mL/min. The selected subsection does not independently establish an estimating equation.

RX mirror: this is not independent corroboration of its underlying label. Check dated-label and formulation limitations.

The source prints overlapping bands at exactly CrCl 50 mL/min. This overlap is preserved rather than silently assigned to one band; confirm the applicable product label and use the stated escalation caution.

Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits

Use is not recommended at CrCl <30 mL/min or in ESRD. Mild impairment (CrCl 50 to 80) needs no adjustment. In moderate impairment (30 to 50), use caution when initiating or escalating from 5 to 10 mcg; use caution in renal transplant recipients. Keep these product-specific CrCl statements separate from BYDUREON BCISE's indexed-eGFR restriction.

Usual Dosing (Adults)

BYETTA is an adjunct to diet/exercise for glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Start 5 micrograms twice daily within 60 minutes before morning/evening meals (or the two main meals, approximately >=6 hours apart). Do not give after a meal. May increase to 10 micrograms twice daily after 1 month based on response. The 5-microgram start reduces gastrointestinal adverse effects.

Give subcutaneously in thigh, abdomen or upper arm. Do not mix with insulin or transfer from the pen to syringe/vial. IV/IM safety and efficacy data are unavailable. Use only clear, colorless, particle-free solution.
