Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits
The June 2023 mirror describes 0.5 mg once daily for its adult cardiovascular indication. It contraindicates use at CrCl below 15 mL/min and with strong CYP3A4 or P-glycoprotein inhibitors; severe hepatic impairment and pre-existing blood dyscrasias are also contraindications.
These restrictions do not authorize a gout-treatment schedule or a dialysis replacement dose. Hemodialysis does not effectively remove colchicine in the overdose section. Renal impairment can raise exposure, so do not equate values above the contraindication threshold with absence of toxicity risk.
Fresh exact-product official-label confirmation was not obtained in this pass.
