Clinical context remains essential

Independent clinical review is pending. Confirm indication, exact formulation/route, population, renal measure and units, kidney-function stability, dialysis prescription, interacting drugs, monitoring and source revision. An RX mirror and its original label are not independent corroboration. Missing disagreement notes do not certify agreement.

Historical treatment-oriented fixed-combination table. Do not apply this renal interval to HIV PrEP or to tenofovir alafenamide combinations.

TRUVADA: treatment interval reduction is not a PrEP strategy

The selected product source has different renal restrictions for treatment and prevention. Its treatment table also identifies ideal (lean) body weight.

What to reconcile: Confirm indication and source-defined clearance method before selecting an interval; do not transfer the treatment-only reduced-frequency regimen to PrEP.

Source-specific interpretation; independent clinician adjudication pending.

Renal dosing, restrictions and evidence limits

For adult HIV treatment, the 200/300 mg tablet is given every 24 hours at CrCl >=50 mL/min and every 48 hours at 30 to 49. It is not recommended below 30, including hemodialysis. For PrEP, use is not recommended below CrCl 60; do not apply the treatment-only every-48-hour schedule to prevention. Clinical efficacy of the renal interval adjustment has not been evaluated, and pediatric renal dosing data are insufficient.
