About Mobb Deep
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Mobb Deep was the New York rap partnership of Havoc and Prodigy, who began performing together as the Poetical Prophets while teenagers. Juvenile Hell preceded their move to Loud Records and the 1995 album The Infamous. Hell on Earth and Murda Muzik followed, the latter including Quiet Storm. Havoc's production and the duo's rapping developed a dark, narrative approach that also continued through the later album Infamy.
