About Gin Blossoms
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Gin Blossoms formed in Tempe, Arizona, in 1987 and brought jangling guitars and concise melodic hooks to alternative radio in the early 1990s. New Miserable Experience included Hey Jealousy, Allison Road and Until I Fall Away. The follow-up, Congratulations I'm Sorry, continued their power-pop approach with Follow You Down and As Long as It Matters. Later recordings include Mixed Reality, produced by Don Dixon and engineered by Mitch Easter, extending a catalog built around guitar melodies and emotionally direct songwriting.
