Inspiration and background
Documented songwriting inspiration
The underlying song originated after a dancer's performance impressed Los del Rio in Venezuela. Miami-based Bayside Boys later added an electronic dance setting and English-language material in response to local radio needs. The remix and the earlier Spanish-language version have separate entries in the reviewed 1996 annual chart.
