Inspiration and background
Researched recording background
It's All About Me introduced Mýa's self-titled debut album with a featured performance by Sisqó. Darryl Pearson produced the original recording, which became one of her early R&B successes. The label's anniversary edition preserves that original track separately from the 25th Anniversary Mix and other remixes, so those editions are not interchangeable. Retained list context: It's All About Me by Mya and Sisqo appears at number 49 in the reviewed U.S. year-end table for 1998. No reliable song-specific account of its inspiration was established in this review.
Evidence scope: Sourced recording or credited-performer context. Exact audio identity and private songwriting motivation are not inferred.
