About Boney M.
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Boney M. developed from producer Frank Farian's studio work in West Germany into a disco act with a recognizable performing lineup: Liz Mitchell, Marcia Barrett, Maizie Williams and Bobby Farrell. The catalog included Daddy Cool, Sunny, Rivers of Babylon and Rasputin, with albums such as Take the Heat off Me and Nightflight to Venus extending its dance repertoire. Studio production and the public performing group played distinct roles in the project's international presentation.
