About Chante Moore
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Chante Moore grew up with a minister and jazz pianist as her father and a singer as her mother. Her recording career connected that musical background with contemporary R&B through songs such as Love's Taken Over, It's Alright and Chante's Got a Man. A continuing studio relationship with George Duke helped develop her approach to singing. Alongside duet projects with Kenny Lattimore, her solo work on Love the Woman brought contemporary producers and interpretations of jazz standards into the same repertoire.
