As It Was
Harry Styles
2023
Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 2022
Release: 2022Source checked | Recent carryover
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The selected original recording supports a first-release year of 2022. Recording-level evidence and the release program were read together; only year precision is asserted. Later annual-list appearances or single promotion do not reset that year.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.
Owner-supplied release annotations
Reported dates in 2022.html, 2023.html, 2023.html. Not independently established; neighboring dates can reflect album/single or regional differences.
As It Was - licensed recording item
Actual item title, performer credit, album association and public recording release field were retrieved and read. Only the supported year is published; an observed day is not an independent proof of the earliest global release day.
Harry's House - licensed release program
Licensed release program, artist and track membership were retrieved and read. Original recording dates are checked separately; an expanded edition, compilation, January 1 placeholder or current copyright year does not set the first release date.
Former annual assignments retained as history
These appearances were removed from the main annual lists. They are not original release dates.
