Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 2009
Release: 2009Source checked
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The selected original recording is documented in 2009. Only year precision is assigned; later album placements, annual-list appearances, reissues and different performances do not replace that release year.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.

So Far Gone - original mixtape program
The original mixtape program identifies the selected recordings, including the full approximately 6:15 Successful with Trey Songz and Lil Wayne. The 2019 streaming reissue does not replace the 2009 original public-release year, independently confirmed by the artist archive.
Drake Related - So Far Gone release archive
The official artist archive dates the original mixtape to February 2009. Only the year is used for this selection of original recordings; the later commercial EP and streaming reissue are separate editions.
