About Ashanti
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Ashanti's early recording breakthrough joined R&B singing with high-profile rap collaborations. Foolish introduced her self-titled debut album in 2002, following her appearance on Ja Rule's Always on Time. She later established Written Entertainment and released Braveheart through that independent label. Her career therefore spans a major early-2000s pop and R&B period and a later phase of directing releases through her own company.
