Wichita Lineman
Glen Campbell
1968
Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 1968
Release: 1968Source checked
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. Year precision reflects the reviewed original release program. Reissues, remasters, later single campaigns and annual-list placement do not reset the original recording year.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.

Wichita Lineman - licensed album program
The licensed album page and embedded track program identify the 1968 Wichita Lineman release. Only selected original-program tracks are used. Conflicting track upload dates, earlier singles and later remixes are adjudicated separately; an album copyright or remaster year is not silently used as the first recording release.
