About Warrant
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Warrant emerged from Hollywood's Sunset Strip rock scene with an early recording lineup that included Jani Lane, Erik Turner, Jerry Dixon, Joey Allen and Steven Sweet. Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich introduced songs such as Heaven and Down Boys, followed by Cherry Pie and the heavier Dog Eat Dog. The band's approach combines melodic choruses with hard-rock guitars. After Robert Mason became lead singer, Warrant continued recording with albums including Rockaholic and Louder Harder Faster.
