ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Gigi Perez

Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.

Gigi Perez is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter and producer whose music places acoustic guitar within restrained, intimate arrangements. After attending Berklee, she built an audience with recordings including Sometimes (Backwood) and the EP How to Catch a Falling Knife. She subsequently learned to handle recording and production herself, issuing Please Be Rude, Normalcy and Sailor Song independently. An Island signing followed in 2024, with her debut album project developed alongside collaborators Noah Weinman and Aidan Hobbs.
