About Seal
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Seal emerged as a London-born singer and songwriter whose recordings connected soul vocals with electronic production. His self-titled 1991 debut, produced by Trevor Horn, included Crazy and Future Love Paradise. A second album also called Seal followed in 1994, retaining Horn's expansive arrangements and featuring contributions from Joni Mitchell and Jeff Beck. Prayer for the Dying and Kiss from a Rose became central to that repertoire, with the latter later reaching film audiences through Batman Forever.
