Dark Horse
George Harrison
1974
Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 1974
Release: 1974Source checked
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The selected original solo studio recording was issued in 1974, including its original single cycle. The associated album supplies the supported year, not an assumed first worldwide single day; its later reissue and alternate recordings are distinct.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.

Dark Horse - George Harrison original release archive
The official archive explicitly identifies the original 1974 release and its numbered studio program. Separately listed demos, later remaster bonuses, live performances and rerecorded versions are not assigned the original album date. The supported year is used without claiming the album day as the first day of an earlier single. The original title-track master is distinct from the separately described previously unreleased early acoustic take.
