About Wizzard
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Wizzard grew out of Roy Wood's work after the Move and Electric Light Orchestra. Wood assembled the group with bassist Rick Price and other Birmingham musicians for a rock-and-roll event at Wembley. Recording at Abbey Road, the band developed a dense pop sound with multiple drummers and saxophones. Ball Park Incident began its singles sequence, followed by See My Baby Jive, Angel Fingers and I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, alongside a flamboyant stage presentation.
