Bones
Imagine Dragons
2022
Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 2022
Release: 2022Source checked
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The original Bones single program and contemporaneous label announcement establish 2022. Apple recording-item fields incorrectly give 2021 and are rejected for chronology; the label and original single program control the selected year.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.

Bones - Single - licensed release program
Licensed release program, artist and track membership were retrieved and read. Original recording dates are checked separately; an expanded edition, compilation, January 1 placeholder or current copyright year does not set the first release date.
Universal Music Canada - Bones original single announcement
Contemporaneous label announcement read in full: March 11, 2022, describes Bones as the new single and first music from the forthcoming Mercury Act 2. Establishes 2022 independently of incorrect 2021 recording-item fields. Only the release year is used.
