Inspiration and background
Researched recording background
Po Pimp helped take Chicago trio Do or Die from a local-label release to a deal with Houston's Rap-A-Lot Records. The collaboration with fellow Chicago rapper Twista preceded the group's album Picture This. It established a regional connection that continued when Do or Die and Twista later worked together again. Retained list context: Po Pimp by Do or Die featuring Twista appears at number 91 in the reviewed U.S. year-end table for 1996. No reliable song-specific account of its inspiration was established in this review.
Evidence scope: Sourced recording or credited-performer context. Exact audio identity and private songwriting motivation are not inferred.
