Heartless
The Weeknd
2020
Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 2019
Release: 2019Source checked | Recent carryover
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The original recording's single metadata establishes 2019, before its later album or annual-list appearance. The later package year does not redate the selected single.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.
Owner-supplied release annotations
Reported dates in 2019.html, 2019.html, 2020.html, 2021.html. Not independently established; neighboring dates can reflect album/single or regional differences.
After Hours - original 2020 program and earlier 2019 singles
The original album retains Heartless and Blinding Lights as November 2019 releases before the 2020 album. In Your Eyes, Save Your Tears and the title recording use their original solo productions; later guest remixes are separate.
