Believer
Imagine Dragons
2017
Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 2017
Release: 2017Source checked
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The selected original recording supports a first-release year of 2017. Recording-level evidence and the release program were read together; only year precision is asserted. Later annual-list appearances or single promotion do not reset that year.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.
Owner-supplied release annotations
Reported dates in 2017.html, 2018.html, 2022.html. Not independently established; neighboring dates can reflect album/single or regional differences.
Believer - licensed recording item
Actual item title, performer credit, album association and public recording release field were retrieved and read. Only the supported year is published; an observed day is not an independent proof of the earliest global release day.
Evolve - licensed release program
Licensed release program, artist and track membership were retrieved and read. Original recording dates are checked separately; an expanded edition, compilation, January 1 placeholder or current copyright year does not set the first release date.
