About Real McCoy
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Real McCoy developed as a Berlin-based recording project involving Olaf 'O-Jay' Jeglitza and Frank 'Quickmix' Hassas. Early records used the name M.C. Sar & the Real McCoy, including a rap adaptation of Pump Up the Jam and the subsequent It's on You. Another Night and Run Away became central to the project's international dance repertoire. Arista helped introduce that material to American audiences, while different female vocalists participated during successive phases of the act.
