Release: 1985
Release: 1985Source checked | Recent carryover
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. Original recording released in 1985; year precision retains the original album/single cycle without assigning a later reissue or annual-list date.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.
Phil Collins - No Jacket Required and Testify original albums
Original years 1985 and 2002, original studio tracklists, and the lead-single status of the Testify cover are explicitly documented; 2016 concerns remasters.
No Jacket Required - original stereo and later remixes
Label distinguishes the original 1985 stereo mix from the later Steven Wilson stereo and surround mixes. This collection selects the original studio recordings.
