About 1910 Fruitgum Company
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
The 1910 Fruitgum Company emerged from New Jersey during the late-1960s bubblegum-pop boom. Singer Frank Jeckell and the production partnership of Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz were central to its early identity. Simple, memorable melodies and childhood expressions shaped songs such as Indian Giver and 1, 2, 3, Red Light. The later album Hard Ride moved toward heavier guitars and extended blues-oriented playing.
