We Found Love
Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris
2012
Annual listening-list association, not an original-release-date field. Original release year reconciled with reviewed recording-specific Artist Essentials evidence in v3.6.
Release: 2011
Release: 2011Source checked | Recent carryover
V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The original recording is documented in the 2011 release history of We Found Love. Only year precision is assigned; later singles, charts, remasters and live versions do not establish its first release.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.

We Found Love - contemporaneous Island Def Jam launch
The September 2011 announcement establishes the original pre-album single featuring Calvin Harris. Its retrospective reference to a 2009 Reloaded package is not used to date Take a Bow or Disturbia.
Talk That Talk - official original album
Original 2011 album includes We Found Love and Where Have You Been. The latter's 2012 single/annual appearance is later. The separately sourced original We Found Love release supplies Calvin Harris's credit.
