Toya is the recording name of St. Louis R&B singer LaToya Rodriguez Martin. Her early performing experience included the International Children's Choir and the local singing-and-dancing group Team 11. After attending Saint Louis University, she pursued recording through the production company associated with Nelly and signed with Arista. I Do!! appeared in 2001 and led into her debut album. International touring included appearances with performers such as Shaggy, Pink and Nelly.
