RELEASE DATE & LIST YEAR

Release: 1991

Release: 1991Source checked | Recent carryover

V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. Original studio release in 1991; the album association establishes the year without assigning its day to an earlier single.

The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.

Waking Up the Neighbours - original album release
Explicit September 1991 release, distinct from the 1993 copyright field. Original track membership is corroborated by the artist discography; 1992 single cycles do not replace 1991.

Original studio tracklists, explicit 1983 Cuts Like a Knife, 1984 Reckless and 1987 Into the Fire releases. Separate 2022 Classic rerecordings and live albums are identified. Bonus tracks do not inherit original album years.
