About Paul Anka
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Ottawa-born Paul Anka developed a career as both a singer and a songwriter. Diana and Lonely Boy became familiar parts of his own repertoire, while other performers recorded his compositions, including Tom Jones with She's a Lady and Buddy Holly with It Doesn't Matter Anymore. Later projects expanded his recording partnerships and languages, from the Spanish-language Amigos to the guest-filled Body of Work, connecting his early pop career with new collaborators.
