About Wet Wet Wet
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Wet Wet Wet developed from school friends in Clydebank, near Glasgow, and combined accessible pop melodies with a strong R&B and soul influence. Their early recording identity featured singer Marti Pellow. Wishing I Was Lucky introduced the group before the debut album Popped In Souled Out. Later repertoire includes Goodnight Girl and their version of Love Is All Around for Four Weddings and a Funeral. The Memphis Sessions and an orchestral performance at the Royal Albert Hall show additional settings for the band's music.
