About The Three Degrees
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
The Three Degrees developed as a female vocal trio guided by Richard Barrett, recording for labels including Swan and Roulette before joining Philadelphia International. Their partnership with Gamble and Huff produced a polished soul sound, including When Will I See You Again. Work with the instrumental ensemble MFSB also brought their voices to TSOP. A later association with Giorgio Moroder moved the group further toward disco on New Dimensions, followed by another album, 3D.
