ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Alabama

Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.

Alabama began as Wildcountry, a band formed by Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen in Fort Payne, Alabama. Their Southern touring mixed country-pop with rock, and the group adopted the Alabama name in 1977. Mark Herndon subsequently joined on drums. An RCA deal followed in 1980, leading to recordings including Tennessee River and Mountain Music alongside an extensive live career.

ARTIST BACKGROUND

About NSYNC

Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.

NSYNC formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995 with Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass. The American vocal group became widely known during the late-1990s pop boom, placing harmonized singing at the center of its records and live performances. No Strings Attached and Celebrity developed that catalog further, with Bye Bye Bye and It's Gonna Be Me among the songs most closely associated with the group. Their work combined five distinct voices within a shared pop-group identity.
