About The Bluetones
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
The Bluetones developed in Hounslow, near London's Heathrow Airport, where their early members rehearsed together in a garage. Singer Mark Morriss and guitarist Adam Devlin were part of a group that first released music through its own Superior Quality Recordings label before signing with A&M. Their debut album, Expecting to Fly, appeared in 1996. Return to the Last Chance Saloon followed, while songs including Slight Return and Keep the Home Fires Burning trace the melodic guitar-band repertoire they established during that period.
