BEHIND THE SONG

Inspiration and background

Researched recording background

Ah! Leah! grew from Donnie Iris' writing partnership with Mark Avsec. An official Allegheny County career retrospective connects its sessions with Agnes and the other Back on the Streets recordings, made with Albritton McClain, Marty Lee Hoenes and Kevin Valentine. Those musicians became the Cruisers. The original Back on the Streets album catalog and the Rock Candy reissue narrative place this recording in 1980. The anthology and remaster dates describe later packages. The screenshot does not identify an exact mix, edit or master.

Evidence scope: Sourced recording and album context; not an asserted account of the songwriters inspiration.
