About Snow Patrol
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Snow Patrol brought together musicians from Northern Ireland and Scotland, with Gary Lightbody's singing and songwriting at the center of its band sound. Final Straw and Eyes Open established repertoire including Run, Chocolate and Chasing Cars. Later work on Fallen Empires took the group to California studios, continuing its partnership with producer Jacknife Lee. Those recordings expanded the guitar-based arrangements with electronic textures, additional percussion and gospel-choir vocals.
