About Steve Holy
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Steve Holy developed as a country singer in the Dallas area, performing at the Mesquite Opry and Johnnie High's Country Music Revue. His vocal style drew on earlier rock-and-roll singers including Elvis Presley, Charlie Rich and Roy Orbison. A Curb signing led to the debut album Blue Moon, produced by Wilbur Rimes, in 2000. Good Morning Beautiful became a signature ballad, while the later album Brand New Girlfriend introduced a more playful part of his repertoire.
